I don’t usually share with you what I am up to in my spare time (spare time?) but I must urge you to try and go see Advanced Style, the film.
Ari Seth Cohen, inspired by his stylish grandmothers, took photographs of New York women, all between 50 and 90, and created his blog Advanced Style devoted to "capturing the sartorial savvy of the senior set". The result is a unique collection of NYC street fashion. Now, following the blog, a book and a TV documentary, the movie Advanced Style has been released.
The ’girls’ are fun and inspirational and their stories are heart-warming. It is simply a feel-good movie that all women, of any age, should go and see if they have the slightest interest in how they look and dress.
Now showing in Dublin's Lighthouse Cinema. Screening details available here.
